The ancient Japanese practice of "Shou-Sugi-Ban" has been used for centuries to waterproof homes. However, it has always been incredibly expensive here. Our goal was to reduce the cost while maintaining the quality finish.

By combining our skills in construction, engineering, and material science, we have discovered new ways to burn wood quickly and consistently. We specialize in charring wood. It is all we do, and we love it!

We are not a timber company however, if you need timber, we can connect you with the suppliers we work with to make the process seamless. This is to make charred timber cladding cost-effective for you. We don’t take a cut from the timber you send us to char.
